DESCRIPTION:Join us as we explore the connection between water intake and weight control. \nThere is a lack of practical and effective strategies to manage hunger and adhere to a weight management intervention\, and this presents a critical barrier to the weight management field. Proof-of-concept studies demonstrate that pre-meal water consumption acutely reduced perceived hunger and meal energy intake among middle-aged and older adults\, resulting in an increased amount of weight loss after 12 weeks. Discover what is currently known about water intake\, hydration status\, and weight control. \nWater Talks attendees can earn one continuing education unit for the American College of Sports Medicine\, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics via the Commission on Dietetic Registration\, and the National Athletic Training Association via the Board of Certification. \n  \nWednesday\, August 13th \n10:00 am – 11:00 am \nVirtual
