SUMMARY:Bridging the Gap between Cancer Research and the Cancer Patient/Caregiver Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Barbara and Jack\, a 33-year myeloma cancer survivor\, started their 501c3 cancer charity\, Arizona Myeloma Network\, \nAzMN© and Cancer Caregivers Education Program\, CCEP© in 2004\, to help other cancer patients and families like \n‘theirs’. They have been providing FREE cancer information and resources for cancer patients\, caregivers\, and families\, \nwith special outreach to the underserved for over 20 years. Their new Online Cancer Caregivers Education Program© is \nnow available and provides valuable information and resources to a broad audience in the U.S. and Canada and will soon \nbe available in Spanish as well. \nTHE MISSION: No family should face this devastating disease alone! \nTHE NEED: In 2025\, the estimated new cancer diagnoses will be over 170\,000 per month or \nover 2 million for the year\, across the United States. \nIn Arizona\, that number is estimated to be over 3\,500 new cases per \nmonth. \nFor every cancer patient there is at least one caregiver or a ‘family’ of \ncaregivers. \nThe average caregiver devotes 40 hrs. a week to some caregiver tasks\, \noften while still working and caring for a family member. \nREGISTRATION: www.cancercaregiversaz.com\, and to order \nyour FREE online program\, Use CODE: JACK \nDONATIONS and SPONSORSHIPS: www.azmyelomanetwork.org
