DESCRIPTION:About this event\nCome to the Phoenix Bioscience Core on First Fridays to hear local jazz musician Garrison Jones and friends for live music at 850 PBC. Grab a bite and kick back while listening to some amazing music on the north patio of 850 PBC. This event is open to students\, staff and faculty of the PBC\, as well as the entire downtown Phoenix neighborhood. \nThis event is organized by the Phoenix Biomedical Campus and Wexford Science + Technology. \nGarrison Jones \nBorn and raised in Phoenix\, Arizona\, Garrison has been influenced by all types of music and is inspired to create unique music while learning about himself and the environment\, and hopes to inspire others to do the same. Garrison hosts a variety of music programming throughout downtown Phoenix. He is also a professor of the ASU Popular Music Program at the ASU Herberger College of Fine Arts. \nGarrison plans to bring professional musicians as well as students to 850 PBC monthly in an effort to provide more opportunities for artists to perform as well as provide an opportunity for the Phoenix Biomedical Campus to come together\, take a break and enjoy the creative sounds of talented musicians right here in our community. \nThe Phoenix Biomedical Campus \nSituated on a 30-acre campus in downtown Phoenix\, the PBC is the center of gravity for life science innovation in the region.
