SUMMARY:Embracing Today\, Shaping Tomorrow: Driving Innovation in Decentralized Manufacturing
DESCRIPTION:Embracing Today\, Shaping Tomorrow: Driving Innovation in Decentralized Manufacturing \nMarch 27\, 2025  \n11:00am ET \nWith more than 75% of U.S. hospitals facing medication shortages and millions of people in low- and middle-income countries lacking access to critical medicines\, the need for localized\, flexible production is urgent. Decentralized manufacturing at the point of care presents a groundbreaking solution by bringing production closer to patients. This webinar will explore how decentralization brings agile production of essential medicines closer to the point of care across the country and globally\, ensuring a reliable supply of life-saving drugs. \nAs a case study\, we will showcase Germfree’s collaboration with On Demand Pharmaceuticals to implement decentralized manufacturing systems. By combining Germfree’s mobile cleanroom technology with ODP’s Pharmacy on Demand platform\, this collaboration empowers healthcare providers to produce high-quality medications on site\, reducing reliance on fragile global supply chains. This real-world pilot met all regulatory requirements\, leveraged a state-of-the art quality management approach\, and demonstrated a novel\, agile compounding capability for drugs on shortage. It resulted in patients being treated with high-quality medicines that were made on-demand and on-site. \nJoin us to gain insights into the transformative potential of decentralized manufacturing and its role in solving drug shortages. \nKey Learning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand the advantages of decentralized manufacturing in addressing drug shortages.\nLearn how localized production improves efficiency and patient access.\nExplore real-world applications through the case study with On Demand Pharmaceuticals.\nLearn various technologies and designs that are being utilized in current Point-of-Care infrastructure
