DESCRIPTION:  \nWHAT: Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI) presents CAN I KICK IT?\, a FREE\, family-friendly Black History Month celebration featuring a live-scored movie screening\, fashion show\, storytelling\, wellness activities\, and a Buy Black marketplace with more than 20 local vendors. \nThe evening will include a live musical scoring of the 1985 film The Last Dragon by Washington\, D.C.–based DJ duo Shaolin Jazz\, blending hip hop\, funk\, soul\, and rock. \nWHO: Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI)\, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that delivers enhanced municipal services to the Downtown business core and marketing and event production to Greater Downtown. For CAN I KICK IT?\, DPI is collaborating with Shaolin Jazz and featuring: \n\nA fashion show by House of Patterns (formerly The Garment League)\nLive storytelling by Centered.PHX\, hosted by Muse\nBuy Black Marketplace curated by Archwood Exchange \n\nWHY: To celebrate Black History Month and showcase the talented entrepreneurs\, creatives\, and visionaries who bring vibrancy and diversity to the Downtown Phoenix community. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a free\, family-friendly event hosted alongside Downtown Phoenix Inc.’s Black History Month campaign. \n  \nSaturday\, February 28th \n3:00 pm – 8:00 pm \nIn Person \nCivic Space Park
