Barbara and Jack, a 33-year myeloma cancer survivor, started their 501c3 cancer charity, Arizona Myeloma Network,
AzMN© and Cancer Caregivers Education Program, CCEP© in 2004, to help other cancer patients and families like
‘theirs’. They have been providing FREE cancer information and resources for cancer patients, caregivers, and families,
with special outreach to the underserved for over 20 years. Their new Online Cancer Caregivers Education Program© is
now available and provides valuable information and resources to a broad audience in the U.S. and Canada and will soon
be available in Spanish as well.
THE MISSION: No family should face this devastating disease alone!
THE NEED: In 2025, the estimated new cancer diagnoses will be over 170,000 per month or
over 2 million for the year, across the United States.
In Arizona, that number is estimated to be over 3,500 new cases per
month.
For every cancer patient there is at least one caregiver or a ‘family’ of
caregivers.
The average caregiver devotes 40 hrs. a week to some caregiver tasks,
often while still working and caring for a family member.
