Connect Labs Expands with Six Companies Driving Health Innovation

Connect Labs by Wexford Phoenix is excited to welcome six innovative companies expanding the frontiers of healthcare, biosciences, and environmental solutions. In just over two years since its opening, Connect Labs has become home to 23 pioneering entities, achieving an impressive 87% occupancy rate.

The Connect Labs space is located on the 5th floor of the 850 PBC building at the Phoenix Bioscience Core (PBC), a 30-acre life science innovation cluster that is home to Arizona’s three major research universities, TGEN, NIH, and Dignity Health Cancer Institute. These new additions enrich an already dynamic ecosystem of researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs at the PBC, each dedicated to advancing Arizona’s bioscience, health, and technology landscape.

Each of these companies brings unique strengths to the PBC:

  • MiiHealth, a Mayo Clinic-ASU MedTech Accelerator company, leverages conversational AI to transform patient care from home, enhancing care and health outcomes. Supporting doctors, caregivers, and communities, MiiHealth has already delivered over 20 million hours of care. MiiHealth is the U.S. based brand of the U.K.company MiiCare.
  • Healthscope provides an all-in-one mobile lab solution that brings blood draws and sample processing directly to patients’ homes, delivering results as quickly as the next day.
  • FAKnostics, a University of Arizona spinout, is pioneering therapies that inhibit tumor growth by targeting specific protein-protein interactions, offering promising advancements in cancer treatment.
  • Blue Water Orthodontics develops safe, non-toxic toothpaste, addressing the demand for natural oral care.
  • Lychee Biosciences, another University of Arizona spinout, focuses on the research and development of plant-based medicines.
  • Airobes, an ASU spinout, is advancing scalable technology for bioengineered carbon capture and reuse, contributing to sustainable environmental solutions.

“ConnectLabs is about innovation, supporting a creative environment that is encouraging of start-ups, early-stage companies, small and established firms as well as government entities,” says Scarlett Spring, Executive Director of the PBC, “all sharing close proximity and benefiting from diversity and creativity that each brings. We are excited for the future milestones and breakthroughs to come and look forward to supporting them to achieve their goals.”
