Ayman Fanous: Solo Guitar Recital

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix is proudly hosting a Wellness Event — free and open to students, faculty, residents and staff. Light refreshments will be provided.

Performance by Ayman Fanous, MD

Ayman Fanous, MD, chair of the Department of Psychiatry, is an accomplished free-form jazz musician. He plays classical and electric guitar and bouzouki, drawing influences from musical traditions around the world. He has led ensembles ranging from duos to sextets with world-renowned jazz and improvisational musicians including cellist Frances-Marie Uitti and New York musicians William Parker, Joe McPhee and Elliott Sharp.
