CAN I KICK IT?

WHAT: Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI) presents CAN I KICK IT?, a FREE, family-friendly Black History Month celebration featuring a live-scored movie screening, fashion show, storytelling, wellness activities, and a Buy Black marketplace with more than 20 local vendors.
The evening will include a live musical scoring of the 1985 film The Last Dragon by Washington, D.C.–based DJ duo Shaolin Jazz, blending hip hop, funk, soul, and rock.
WHO: Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that delivers enhanced municipal services to the Downtown business core and marketing and event production to Greater Downtown. For CAN I KICK IT?, DPI is collaborating with Shaolin Jazz and featuring:
- A fashion show by House of Patterns (formerly The Garment League)
- Live storytelling by Centered.PHX, hosted by Muse
- Buy Black Marketplace curated by Archwood Exchange
WHY: To celebrate Black History Month and showcase the talented entrepreneurs, creatives, and visionaries who bring vibrancy and diversity to the Downtown Phoenix community.
