The Arizona Telemedicine Program and Southwest Telehealth Resource Center invite you to a free one-hour CME webinar on the implementation and practice of telemedicine.

Forensic health care in tribal communities

Join Arizona Telemedicine Program, Southwest Telehealth Resource Center and the American Indian Health – Area Health Education Center for a session focusing on forensic health care as utilized within the tribal communities. Gain knowledge in the challenges and needs specific for victims of violence.

Lennox is the sexual assault nurse examiner coordinator for the Whiteriver Service Unit in the Indian Health Service Phoenix Area. Lennox is a highly motivated and energetic nurse who has worked tirelessly to pull together the nursing staff, law enforcement and the tribal community to provide comprehensive care and promote justice for victims of violence. She received the 2023 IHS Division of Nursing Services Nurse of the Month February 2023 and the 2023 Victims Service Award from the Department of Justice.

Outcome Objectives

  • Define forensic health care.
  • Describe challenges presented to forensic teams in tribal communities.
  • Understand basic knowledge to meet needs of victims of violence in a medical setting.
