The Phoenix Bioscience Core and the Downtown Phoenix Farmer’s Market are excited to announce the first annual Phoestival of Health on April 13 to welcome the greater Phoenix community to the PBC for a day full of fun activities and enriching experiences focused around improving your health.

Elevate your fitness with invigorating classes, community bike rides and runs, learn the latest in research and innovation as you interact with colleges of health from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona.

The Phoestival of Health will take place in conjunction with the Downtown Phoenix Farmer’s Market, which operates on the PBC each Saturday. The Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market is committed to seasonally grown, local foods, and products. The market takes immense pride in weekly, urban event where residents and visitors can shop for community farmers and small businesses year-round. 

Guests will enjoy:

  • Demonstrations on how to cook your food.
  • Meet with a nutrition expert.
  • Join a fitness class / community ride or run.
  • Learn about ways to become more active.
  • Meet with a health care professional.
  • Learn about the latest in healthcare research happening right here in Arizona.

Parking information:

Bike Parking – always celebrated, located at the southern entrance on Pierce St, and NE corner of 5th St and McKinley.
Auto Parking – Free and metered street parking, but some only take quarters. Paid parking available at 555 E. Fillmore and the Arizona Center Garage. Paid parking directly north of the market ($4/hr).
Light Rail – Half-mile walking distance from Roosevelt and Central Ave station.

For the Health of it Dinner

Following the Phoestival of Health, the Downtown Phoenix Farmer’s Market and the Phoenix Bioscience Core will host a community dinner focused on your health. Join us for a seven-course healthy dinner experience with curated meals from locally owned Farmer’s Market vendors prepared in collaboration with health care experts from across the Phoenix Bioscience Core.

This is a paid event for guests 21 and up. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Downtown Phoenix Farmer’s Market to support their operations and create new opportunities for local vendors from across the Valley. If you’re interested in sponsoring the program, contact us here.
