Celebrating Match Day 2025 at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix

Match Day is one of the most significant milestones in a medical student’s journey—a day filled with anticipation, excitement, and well-earned celebration. At the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix118 seniors entered the match this year, including those who applied to military and early match programs, taking their next step toward becoming physicians.

This year’s graduates will begin their residency training in 29 states across the country, but many will stay close to home. An impressive 30% of this year’s class will begin their first year of training in Arizona, reinforcing the state’s growing role as a hub for medical education and healthcare excellence. Of those, 37 students will remain in Arizona for at least one year, with 28 completing their entire residency in the Grand Canyon State—a testament to the strength of Arizona’s medical training programs.

Additionally, 32 seniors matched into primary care specialties, helping to fill a critical need in healthcare. As primary care remains a cornerstone of patient-centered medicine, these graduates will play a vital role in shaping the future of accessible, high-quality healthcare.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on this incredible achievement! Whether continuing your journey in Arizona or across the country, your dedication and passion will make a lasting impact on the communities you serve. 🎉🏥
