Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport debuts Artists + Researchers exhibit in airport museum

The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will host its first ever Night at the Museum event to debut the Phoenix Bioscience Core’s Artists + Researchers exhibit at the Phoenix Airport Museum on Friday March 24 from 4 to 7 p.m., the airport announced in a press release.

Located in Terminal 4 in the Level 3 Gallery, the Artists + Researchers exhibit includes nine pieces of art developed by teams of local artists and PBC researchers. The works of art translate research in cardiology, neurology, emotional therapy, and more in a different medium designed to show the research to different audiences. The pieces originally debuted in August 2022 and will be on display in the airport through July.

Come by to see what happens when the talents of both science and art join forces to communicate complex information in an approachable way through artworks.

Meet the researchers and artists involved in the program and learn about their collaboration. View artworks influenced by scientific investigation that explore concepts of communication, memory, emotion and circulation. Participate in an augmented reality experience that allows viewers to walk through sections of the brain.

Museum staff will be on hand with a fun art activity, treats and scavenger hunt guides to explore more art at the Airport. Whether you are traveling or not, this event is FREE to attend and open to the public. Learn more about this exhibition by visiting our website.

The second cohort of the PBC’s Artists + Researchers exhibit is currently in development and expects to debut in September. You can meet the teams here.
